Did you know that 95% of our behavior is unconscious? We go about our business day in and day out as if we are hypnotized. Thousands of thoughts go through our mind daily, and we are not at all aware of them. These thoughts also cause various emotions and feelings in our bodies. So, all of a sudden we have a migraine or a terrible stomach ache and we don’t know where it came from. When I learned that I could observe my thoughts and I had the power to select only thoughts that served me, my life began to change for the better.
My role and work as a Coach is to guide my clients along the path of awareness, helping them move from a bad ‘state’ to a desired state (emotionally). In this journey, I can help them because I had been down the road of “not being aware” myself. My beliefs and style as a Coach are also important when assisting and supporting others. I believe in human potential. In other words, I believe that people have what they need to succeed. It is a matter of discovering their resourceful states. And I am definitely committed to helping them get there.
You can train your mind to observe and identify the ‘bad’ or negative thoughts the moment they arise. I can understand your skepticism on this. However, I challenge you to try this because nothing is difficult as long as we are willing to improve the quality of our life. Think of the positive effects on your health and on your body when you begin to consciously delete the negative thoughts and entertain only good thoughts as much as possible.
Being aware of our thoughts is key to taking control of our life. Make it a point to observe your thoughts and emotions because they govern our behavior and health. Fantastic changes can happen in your life once you learn to control your thoughts and make them conscious. Trust me on this!
Try taking control of your thoughts for a few days and see what happens. Please feel free to post your thoughts and comments here after you experiment with this for a while! I would love to read what your results were!
